Greg Owens  0:32

Hey, it’s Greg Owens here. I’m the owner of McCarthy Painting and the host of this podcast where I talk with building owners, property management companies and top facilities managers about issues affecting their buildings and their facilities, facilities in today’s workplaces. Today, I am excited. I have John Corcoran here who has done thousands of interviews with successful entrepreneurs, investors and CEOs and we have flipped the script here today. And he will be interviewing me and we’ll be talking about some different specialty pink products that we’re seeing that are popular these days.

John Corcoran  1:12

Excellent. All right, Greg, thanks so much for having me. And I’m excited. Yeah, we’re gonna be talking about specially paint talking about how companies can be more creative and more productive and get more done by the choices that they’re making in how they cover the walls on the interior their spaces, which can really influence how their internal you know, their their most valuable asset, their employees, their staff, their team members, interact with one another and what they come up with. So we’re talking about that and of course, this episode is brought to you by McCarthy Painting, which serves commercial and residential clients all around the San Francisco Bay Area. They’ve been in business since 1969. and serve companies such as Google, Autodesk, Abercrombie and Fitch, FICO, First Bank, SPIN, and many more and if you have commercial facilities in this episode, Bay Area and need dependable painters. You can visit them on the web at McCarthypainting.com or email info@McCarthypainting.com. Alright, so Greg, let’s talk about how companies can be more creative and more productive and get their team to collaborate more by these choices that they make when they’re repainting their interior walls. A lot of times they don’t think that there hasn’t been that much innovation but there actually has been a lot of innovation. Starting with whiteboard, paint one of the most popular ones out there. So you can actually paint the walls and you can write on them. So talk a little bit about how that works.

Greg Owens  2:39

Yeah, that’s true. It’s a there’s some wonderful products out there that enable you to paint basically a dry erase board on any surface. And so, you know, these companies that have teams and they’re trying to get people to be more productive and have creative ideas and they need ways to brainstorm There’s, there’s really no better way still, then to stand back and be able to write on the wall and use the entire sort of canvas, if you will, to sort of formulate ideas. And so they came out with these different products that we have. And dry erase board paint is very popular. There’s different ways we can put it on and, and different ways of using it. And one of them is just a white, white board paint. And it’s exactly what I said, right? So it’s a white paint and you put it on and it takes about six days to cure. That’s one of the drawbacks to it. We are actually trying some new products right now that only take 24 hours to cure so that way you can write on it faster and sooner and start brainstorming right away.

John Corcoran  3:50

So one of the choices that these companies need to make initially is where to put this, right like is it a break room? Is it a conference room or a hallway? Is it your interior spaces where you advise people when they think about that?
